What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(Norwich, Unthank Road And Christchurch Road) - Puffin Crossing Notice 2025

As required under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 notice is hereby given that Norfolk County Council propose to install puffin pedestrian crossing points at the following locations in the City of Norwich:

Description

C800 Unthank Road

At a point 13 metres northeast of the centre of the U42206 Christchurch Road junction.

U42206 Christchurch Road

At a point 9 metres Southeast of the centre of the C800 Unthank Road.

U42206 Christchurch Road

At a point 8 metres Northwest of the centre of the C800 Unthank Road.

Pedestrians will be entitled to use one of the crossings.

The reason for this proposal is to provide a safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists within an urbanised area.

A copy of the plans may be viewed online at: www.norfolk.citizenspace.com. Copies are also available for inspection at: Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, NR1 2DH and the offices of the Norwich City Council, St Peters St, Norwich NR2 1NH. Online viewing is recommended.

Any person who wishes to comment on this scheme should write to: Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, NR1 2DH, or email: traffic.orders@norfolk.gov.uk, by 23rd December 2025. They must state the grounds on which they are objecting.
