TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

CROMER – Cabbell Road from 11m north of its junction with Cadogan Road for 40m northwards to facilitate new water connection works from 10th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: Cabbell Road, Cadogan Road, A149 Prince of Wales Road/Runton Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

GIMINGHAM – 1) U14297 Windmill Road from its junction with C634 Mundesley Road to its junction with U14296 Sandpit Lane and 2) U14296 School Lane from 180m southeast of its junction with U14296 Sandpit Lane for 30m southwards to facilitate installation of new telegraph poles on behalf of Openreach from 11th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: 1) C634 Mundesley Road, C295 Gimingham Road/Slaughter Road/Mill Street, U14296 School Lane;

2) U14297 Windmill Road, C634 Mundesley Road, C295 Gimingham Road/Slaughter Road/Mill Street (Trimingham, Gimingham). The works promoter is BT.

NB: Only one road will be closed at a time.

GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD – C258 Broad Lane from 150m south of its junction with Norwich Road for 30m southwards to facilitate water meter exchange works on 8th December 2025 (may continue until 19th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Broad Lane, Hare Road, Middle Road, Green Lane North, Plumstead Road, Reeves Corner, Broad Lane (Thorpe St. Andrew, Great and Little Plumstead). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

GREAT WITCHINGHAM – The Street from 70m west of its junction with Ladys Row for 30m westwards to facilitate communication pipe repair works from 9th to 11th December 2025 (may continue until 22nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: The Street, A1067 Fakenham Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Royal Avenue from its junction with Barnard Avenue for 150m southwards to facilitate relay lead pipe from carriageway works from 8th to 19th December 2025 (may continue until 30th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Barnard Avenue, Sandringham Avenue, Hamilton Road, Royal Avenue. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

NB: Access will be maintained for residents.

GREAT YARMOUTH – 1) Frederick Road from its junction with Northgate Street for 50m eastwards and 2) Northgate Street from its junction with Garrison Road for 80m northwards to facilitate new gas connection works. The Road 1) will be temporarily closed and the traffic over the Road 2) shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 8th to 19th December 2025 (may continue until 30th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Northgate Street, Kitchener Road, Maygrove Road, North Road. The works promoter is Cadent.

GREAT YARMOUTH – 1) B1141 Fullers Hill/B1141 Priory Plain from its junction with A149 Acle New Road Roundabout to its junction with C621 Saint Nicholas Road and 2) C610 Market Place from its eastern junction with B1141 Fullers Hill to its junction with U60304 The Conge to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. The Road 1) will be temporarily closed and Road 2) shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (northbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a northwards and southwards direction between 19:00 on 8th December and 03:00 on 9th December 2025 (may continue until 20th January 2026). Alternative route is via: A149 Acle New Road/North Quay/Lawn Avenue/Caister Road, C616 Jellicoe Road/North Drive, C628 Marine Parade, C621 Euston Road/St Nicholas Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HAPPISBURGH – U19098 Grub Street from 100m north of its junction with Lantern Lane for 80m northwards to facilitate new electrical connection works on 10th December 2025 (may continue until 21st January 2026). Alternative route is via: Grub Street, North Walsham Road, B1159 Stalham Road, Vicarage Road, Happisburgh Road, Grub Street (East Ruston, Happisburgh, Walcott). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

HOLT – Mill Street from its junction with Mill Court for 40m eastwards to facilitate new sewer connection works from 8th to 22nd December 2025 (may continue until 2nd February 2026). Alternative route is via: Mill Street, New Street, Cross Street, Albert Street. The works promoter is Carbon Construction.

NB: Access to the allotments will be maintained at all times.

HOPTON-ON-SEA – Longfulans Lane from 200m west of its junction with Coast Road for 50m westwards to facilitate carriageway widening works from 8th to 19th December 2025 (may continue until 30th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Lowestoft Road, Station Road, Coast Road. The works promoter is HS Consultancy.

HORNING – C398 Long Lane from its junction with C398 Letheringtons Lane for 100m north-westwards to facilitate new duct installation works from 8th to 10th December 2025 (may continue until 21st January 2026). Alternative route is via: Letheringtons Lane, A1062 Ropes Hill/Horning Road, A1151 Stalham Road, Long Lane (Hoveton, Horning). The works promoter is CityFibre Metro Networks.

KNAPTON – 1) U19060 The Street from its junction with U19377 Lawn Close to its junction with 1P312 St Peters Close and 2) U19687 Pond Lane from 230m north of its junction with U19010 The Street for 70m northwards to facilitate blockage clearing and pole bend installation works from 10th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: 1) U19010 The Street, B1145 Mundesley Road, U19687 Pond Lane;

2) B1145 Mundesley Road, U19010 The Street, U19687 Pond Lane. The works promoter is BT.

KNAPTON – Paston Road from 100m southeast of its junction with The Street for 20m south-eastwards to facilitate blockage clearing and pole bend installation works from 10th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: The Street, Paston Road, The Green (Paston, Knapton). The works promoter is BT.

LANGHAM – B1156 Holt Road from its junction with B1156 Langham Road to its junction with C328 Blakeney Long Road to facilitate carriageway patching works from 10th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). MUNDESLEY – Links Road from its junction with Seaward Crescent for 40m westwards to facilitate pole installation works from 11th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). NORTH WALSHAM, WORSTEAD & WESTWICK – B1150 Norwich Road from 45m north of its junction with U19019 Heath Road for 550m southwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works between 19:00 and 05:00 from 11th to 18th December 2025 (may continue until 29th January 2026). TUNSTEAD – U19114 Watering Pit Lane from 230m northeast of its junction with C396 Market Street for 50m north-eastwards to facilitate level crossing inspection works between 22:00 on 8th December and 06:00 on 9th December 2025 (may continue until 20th January 2026). WESTWICK & WORSTEAD – C273 Westwick Road from 45m west of its junction with C495 Station Road for 70m westwards to facilitate railway bridge inspection works between 22:00 on 10th December and 06:00 on 11th December 2025 (may continue until 22nd January 2026). MARY AND CLAXTON – U76328 Chapel Lane/Folly Lane from its junction with C382 Chapel Lane for 1212m northwards to facilitate installation of a new fibre network for BDUK from 8th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). AYLSHAM – C276 Bure Way from 35m east of its junction with Cromer Road for 35m eastwards to facilitate new gas connection works from 1st to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Cromer Road, White Hart Street, Gashouse Hill, Bure Way. The works promoter is Cadent.

BRININGHAM – B1110 Holt Road from its junction with C330 Brinton Road to its junction with C227 Burgh Stubbs to facilitate carriageway patching works from 1st to 2nd December 2025 (may continue until 13th January 2026). Alternative route is via: B1110 Dereham Road/Holt Road/The Street/Thornage Road, B1149 Norwich Road/The Green, B1354 Briston Road/Fakenham Road (Edgefield, Briningham, Thornage, Corpusty and Saxthorpe, Brinton, Melton Constable, Holt, Briston, Stody). CROMER – Hillside from 50m southwest of its junction with Hill Close for 124m north-westwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 4th to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Hillside. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

DRAYTON – U57587 Delane Road from its junction with Hurn Road for 50m north-westwards to facilitate urgent gas main upgrade works. The Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 19th November 2025 that the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) on 24th November 2025 (previously 19th to 23rd November 2025) (may continue until 5th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Hurn Road, Bradshaw Road.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Gatacre Road from its junction with Mill Road for 95m south-eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on 3rd December 2025 (may continue until 14th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Marsh Road, Coronation Road, High Mill Road, Gatacre Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Haven Bridge from its junction with North Quay for 100m westwards to facilitate deck and barrier repair works from 1st to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: North Quay, Acle New Road, A47 J A12/A149 Roundabout, Western Bypass, A47 From J A1243 To A149 Runham Roundabout, Werrymans Way, A47 J A1243 Roundabout, Pasteur Road, Bridge Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HINDRINGHAM – C316 The Street from its junction with U14002 Wells Road for 240m north-eastwards to facilitate overhead cable repair works between 09:00 and 13:00 on 1st December 2025 (may continue until 12th January 2026).
