South Lakeland, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL
(URSWICK GREEN, BARROW-IN-FURNESS AND THE U5105 THE RAKE, GREENODD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) Urswick Green, Barrow-In-Furness, from its junction with Piel View Grove,
extending in a westerly then south westerly direction to its junction with Bardsea Road.
Alternative Route: via Bardsea Road, Cloisters Avenue, Gleaston Avenue and Piel View Grove.
Duration: From 3rd December 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/16471)
(ii) U5105 The Rake, Greenodd, from its junction with the U5107, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 695 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5105, C5022, A5092 and the U5104.
Duration: From 4th December 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/16472)

The Order will come into operation on 3rd December 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
