HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREEN LANE/BOVINGDON GREEN/ GREEN LANE, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Green Lane/ Bovingdon Green/Green Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with High Street south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Leyhill Road, a distance of approximately 1411m (“the length of Roads”).
An alternative route will be via High Street, B4505 Chesham Road and Leyhill Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD AND BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Gadebridge Lane/Betjeman Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 616m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Westfield Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Bell Lane south eastwards to its junction with the Durrants Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 432m.
An alternative route will be via Bell Lane, A4251 High Street and Durrants Lane.
3. that length of Woodlands Avenue/Coram Close, Berkhamsted from its junction with Swing Gate Lane south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Jocketts Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northridge Way north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Long Chaulden, a distance of approximately 596m.
An alternative route will be via Northridge Way and Long Chaulden. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Bennetts End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Albans Hill north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with the St Albans Road/White Hart Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 146m.
An alternative route will be via St Albans Hill, Lawn Lane and A414 St Albans Road.
2. that length of Belsize Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bennetts End Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via Bennetts End Road, Acorn Road and Belsize Road.
3. that length of Gammon Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bennetts End Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, FELDEN AND BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads” will be:
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Felden Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Sheethanger Lane, a distance of approximately 870m, except for access.
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, B4505 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road, Flaunden Lane and Longcroft Lane.
2. All vehicular traffic is prohibited from proceeding along that length of Longcroft Lane, Hemel Hempstead/Felden from its junction with Chipperfield Road north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Flaunden Lane, a distance of approximately 2646m other than in a northerly direction only, when signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via Chipperfield Road, High Street, B4505 (Hempstead Road/Box Lane), A4251 London Road, Felden Lane and Flaunden Lane.
3. All vehicular traffic is prohibited from proceeding along that length of Flaunden Lane, Felden/Bovingdon from its junction with Longcroft Lane south westwards to its junction with Chipperfield Road, a distance of approximately 2364m other than in a southerly direction only, when signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via Felden Lane, A4251 London Road, B4505 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road), High Street and Chipperfield Road.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BOVINGDON BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC NO.007 [SHANTOCK HALL LANE]) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using Bovingdon Byway Open to All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane) from a point 79m south east of its junction with Bovingdon Public Footpath No.010 south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Shantock Lane, a distance of approximately 424m (“the Byway Open to All Traffic”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Bovingdon Byway Open to All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane), Leyhill Road, Green Lane, Bovingdon Green, Long Lane and Shantock Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Byway Open to All Traffic.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Byway Open to All Traffic.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MIDDLE LANE, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Middle Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with Venus Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 260m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Venus Hill, Long Lane and Middle Lane.
The Order is needed because tree cutting works and utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WINDMILL ROAD, PEPPERSTOCK) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Windmill Road, Pepperstock from its junction with Pepsal End Lane north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 600m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Pepsal End Lane, Front Street, B4540 (Markyate Road/ Luton Road), A5183 Dunstable Road, Hicks Road and Windmill Road.
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON A4251 WATFORD ROAD, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 20mph on that length of A4251 Watford Road, Kings Langley from its junction with the Home Park Mill Link south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the A41 (unnamed road)/M25 (junction 20) roundabout, a distance of approximately 557m (“the Road”), when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ASHLYNS ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ashlyns Road, Berkhamsted from a point 26m north west of its junction with Upper Ashlyns Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Ashlyns Road, A416 Kings Road and Ashlyns Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.201-215 High Street Green, Hemel Hempstead from its southernmost junction with High Street Green south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via High Street Green. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHARF LANE, NORTHCHURCH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wharf Lane, Northchurch from a point 107m north west of its junction with Norcott Hill south eastwards for a distance of approximately 49m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route for traffic will be via Wharf Lane, Norcott Hill, Norcott Farm Lane and Wharf Lane.
The Order is needed because cabling works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cemmaes Court Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the western boundary of No.2 Cemmaes Court Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 36m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Cemmaes Court Road, Collett Road, Cotterells Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Bury Hill, Warners End Road, Bury Hill and Cemmaes Court Road.
The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road), A4251 (Watford Road/High Street/ Hempstead Road/London Road) and A41 Two Waters Way.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
