The A13 GLA Road (Thames Gateway) (London Borough of Havering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.
The purpose of the Order is to enable loop detector repair works to take place at A13 Thames Gateway.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, exiting or proceeding:
(1) on the eastbound carriageway of Thames Gateway between its junctions with the unnamed off-slip road connecting Thames Gateway with the roundabout at the junctions with A1306 New Road and A1306 London Road hereafter referred to as Wennington Interchange and the boundary of London Borough of Havering with the County of Essex;
(2) on the unnamed off-slip road connecting the eastbound carriageway of Thames Gateway to Wennington Interchange.
The Order will be effective at certain times between
8th December 2025 and 19th December 2025, each night,
Mon to Saturday, 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM or when the
works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such
extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:
(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
At such times as the prohibitions are in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs via:
(for the A13 closure) A13 off-slip road, Wennington Interchange and A13 on-slip road to normal route of travel;
(for A13 off-slip road closure) A13 Thames Gateway, M25 Roundabout Junction 30 and A13 Thames Gateway westbound to normal route of travel.
