What is happening?
THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
(Hellesdon, A140 Holt Road) (Prohibition Of Stopping And Waiting On Verge And Footway) Order 2025
The Norfolk County Council has made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the 26th November 2025 which comes into operation on the 1st December 2025, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle to stop or wait along the footway (which for the purposes of this Order shall include the shared use path), and verge of the A140 Holt Road (west side) from its junction with C259 Middleton's Lane to a point 625 metres in a north westerly direction.

A copy is also available for inspection at: Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, and at the offices of: Broadland District Council, Horizon Business Centre, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF. However, online viewing is recommended.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 26th November 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
