Sutton Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Water Main Renewal Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SUTTON LANE, HATTON FIELDS
WHEN: 22 December 2025 to 16 January 2026.
WHERE: Sutton Lane, Hatton Fields between its Jcts. with Derby Road and Breach Lane.
REASON: To facilitate water main renewal works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sutton Lane from point of closure, Broughton Heath Lane, Church Broughton Road, Bent Lane, Unnamed Road from Cote Bottom Lane to Bent Lane, Woodyard Lane, Uttoxeter Road, Unnamed Section of A511 from A50 to Uttoxeter Road, A511 Uttoxeter Road, Derby Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
