Grange Mill Lane And Blackburn Road - Proposed Traffic Humps

PUBLIC NOTICE

GRANGE MILL LANE AND BLACKBURN ROAD - PROPOSED TRAFFIC HUMPS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sheffield City Council in exercise of its powers under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, (hereinafter called ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C of the Act, intends to install road humps as below:

4 flat top speed hump, 75mm high with a 6 metre long plateau with 1.5m ramps at the following locations:
Blackburn Road – at a point 69m north east of its junction with the north western kerb line of Old Droppingwell Road
Blackburn Road – at a point 142m north east of its junction with the north western kerb line of Old Droppingwell Road
Grange Mill Lane – at a point 54m north east of the junction of Blackburn Road and the north western kerb line of New Droppingwell Road
Grange Mill Lane – at a point 130m north east of its junction of Blackburn Road and the north western kerb line of New Droppingwell Road

1 kerb to kerb flat top speed hump, 75mm high with a 6 metre long plateau with 1.5m ramps at the following location:
Blackburn Road – at a point 223m north east of its junction with the north western kerb line of Old Droppingwell Road

These measures are aimed at controlling speed and improving safety for pedestrians and road users at this location.
