What is happening?

South Tyneside Council Licence Fees Review 20025/2026

Notice is hereby given of the proposed increase in fees for charges relating to hackney carriage and private hire vehicle licences. In accordance with Section 70 (3) (b) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 a copy of this notice will be available for public inspection at the Town Hall & Civic Offices, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL for a period 28 days from
the date of this advertisement. The offices are open from 8:30am to 5pm Mon – Thurs and 8:30am to 4:30pm Friday. Any person wishing to raise an objection to the proposed increases may do so by writing to the Licensing Section at the Town Hall & Civic Offices at the above address or by email to

licensing@southtyneside.gov.uk

before the expiry of 28 days from the date of this notice. Any objection received will be referred to the Licensing Committee for consideration. In the absence of any objections being received the fees will come into force on 13th December 2025
