Various Roads in Oldbury & Great Barr - Waiting, Loading & Unloading Restrictions
What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The council has made The Borough Council of Sandwell (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Traffic Regulation Order 20) 2025 which will have the effect of amending the following sites in Oldbury: –
1) Blakeley Hall Road – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
2) Broadwell Road – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
3) Castle Road East – extend existing school keep clear markings.
4) Dudley Road West – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
5) Flash Road – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
6) Fountain Lane – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time.
7) Newfield Road – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
8) Queen Street – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
9) Redwood Drive – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
10) Rounds Green Road – reduce parking bay and extend ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
11) Shinwell Crescent – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
12) Wheatsheaf Road – extend existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
This order was made on 20/11/2025.
The council has also made The Borough Council of Sandwell (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Traffic Regulation Order 22) 2025 which will have the effect of introducing amendments to the following sites in Great Barr: –
1) Amberley Green – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ & ‘No Loading at Any Time’.
2) Anderson Crescent – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
3) Marston Grove – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
4) Peak House Road – extend existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
5) Scott Road – introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
6) Whitecrest – extend existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’.
That the following site in Great Barr, advertised on 02/06/2025, be noted however that following objections will be removed from the legal order: Elm Drive – extend existing ‘No Waiting During Prescribed Hours’. This order was made on 25/11/2025.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the above orders on the grounds that any aspect of the relevant legislation has not been complied with, can apply to the High Court by 16/01/2026.
