WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – LEVERSON STREET SW16

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Leverson Street to facilitate Pole Replacement works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Leverson Street from the junction with Eastwood Street to the junction with Fernthorpe Road. There will be no waiting 09:30–15:30.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 10 December 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 10 December 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – PUTNEY BRIDGE ROAD SW15

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Putney Bridge Road to facilitate Bridge Inspection works

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Putney Bridge Road from the junction. with Northfields Road to the junction with Point Pleasant. There will be no waiting 22:00 - 06:00.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 8 December 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 9 December 2025.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Schubert Road to facilitate UK Power Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Schubert Road on the side of number 40 Upper Richmond Road. There will be no waiting 07:00–19:00 (Saturday only).

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 13 December 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 13 December 2025.

TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS

NON CPZ – WESTCOTE ROAD SW16

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Westcote Road to facilitate UK Power Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place on Westcote Road temporary waiting restrictions will be introduced on both sides Westcote Road from outside numbers 38 to 52. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 8 December 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 12 December 2025.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC – HARBRIDGE AVENUE SW15

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Harbridge Avenue to facilitate clear access to the Alton Activity Centre works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Harbridge Avenue. Temporary restrictions will be introduced from outside block 33 to 83 to the junction of Tangley Grove, both sides of the road. There will be no waiting Monday to Friday 07:00am – 18:00pm & Saturdays 07:00am – 13:00pm.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 1 December 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 30 June 2026.

PROPOSED MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS

VARIOUS STREETS IN THE BOROUGH

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under section 6 and 45 of Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

  • *The Wandsworth (Wandsworth Common & Tooting Bec) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 20**

  • *The Wandsworth (Putney) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 20**

  • *The Wandsworth (Tooting Broadway) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 20**

  • *The Wandsworth (Clapham South and Balham) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 20**

  • The Wandsworth (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (No. ) Order 202*

  1. The general effect of the Orders would be:–

(a) to remove two parking bays on the south-western side of Bedford Hill to ensure visibility for pedestrians and drivers near the new zebra crossing to the north-west of Veronica Road;

(b) to remove two parking bays on the north side of Felsham Road in the vicinity of St Mary’s C of E Primary School to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers. Three spaces will remain.

(c) Remove the existing School Keep Clear on the south side of Felsham Road. The School Keep Clear markings will be replaced with zig zag markings associated with the zebra crossing.

(d) to remove one parking space on the north side of Church Lane in the vicinity of the new crossing to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers.

(e) to remove one parking space on the south side of Church Lane in the vicinity of the new crossing to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers. Three bays will remain

(f) to remove one parking bay to the east of the zebra crossing, opposite No. 86 Nightingale Lane, to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers.

  1. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.

  2. Any person wishing to make a comment about the proposals should send a statement in writing to the Executive Director of Resident Services at the address below within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
