Barnet, No Waiting Restrictions To Improve Safety & Traffic Flow

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to improve traffic flow, deter obstructive parking, improve sightlines and road safety, the general effect of the above Order would be to introduce new lengths of ‘At any time’ waiting restrictions at the following locations:

a) At the junctions of Northway and Thornton Way NW11, Northway and Lichfield Way NW11, Middleway and Bigwood Road NW11, Middleway and Thornton Way NW11, Middleway and Lichfield Way NW11, Southway and Thornton Way NW11 and at the junction of Southway and Lichfield Way NW11.

b) The existing lengths of no waiting ‘at any time’ restrictions at the junction of Southway and Bigwood Road NW11 and at the junction of Northway and Bigwood Road NW11 would be extended in length.

A copy of the proposed Order, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 3rd Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to comment on the proposed Order should send a written statement explaining their objection/ comments, and quoting reference number
