PROVISION OF SPEED HUMPS/CUSHIONS – HOLLYBUSH HILL, SPRATT HALL RD, GROVE PARK, NUTTER LANE, RUTLAND RD, ELMCROFT AVENUE, CHIGWELL RD, HERMON HILL, NEW WANSTEAD

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to control the speed of vehicles under the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge proposes to construct speed humps and speed cushions at the following locations:

Speed Humps

(i) Hollybush Hill, outside house No. 64 or thereabouts;

(ii) Hollybush Hill, outside house No. 59 or thereabouts;

(iii) Hollybush Hill, outside house No. 53 or thereabouts;

(iv) Hollybush Hill, outside house No. 49 or thereabouts;

(v) Hollybush Hill, outside house No. 46 or thereabouts;

(vi) Hollybush Hill, outside house Nos. 41/42 or thereabouts;

(vii) Hollybush Hill, outside house No. 33 or thereabouts;

(viii) Hollybush Hill, outside house No. 28 or thereabouts;

(ix) Hollybush Hill, approximately 5m south of house Nos. 23/24;

(x) Hollybush Hill, outside house Nos. 1-12 or thereabouts;

(ix) Colvin Gardens, outside house No. 10 or thereabouts;

(x) Colvin Gardens, approximately 10 meters south-east of its junction with Ashbourne Avenue or thereabouts;

2. he speed humps (i) to (xxxvi) would be of round top (sinusoidal) design, approximately 80 millimetres at their highest point with an overall length of 3.7 metres. The speed humps would be constructed in accordance with Department for Transport regulations.

3 The speed cushions (i) to (xxiv) would be of flat top design, approximately 80 millimetres at their highest point with an overall length of 3 metres, width of 1.6m and separation between cushions of 0.75m. The speed cushions would be constructed in accordance with Department for Transport regulations.

3. A copy of the plans showing the locations of the speed humps and speed cushions may be inspected between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays at the Information Centre, Lynton House, 255–259 High Road, Ilford Essex IG1 1NY.

4. Any person wishing to object or make representation to the proposals should send a statement in writing of either their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the:
