PROVISION OF SPEED HUMPS – GROVE HILL, CLEVELAND ROAD, MARLBOROUGH ROAD

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to control the speed of vehicles under the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge proposes to construct speed humps at the following locations:
  2. (i) Grove Hill, outside house Nos. 1-14 or thereabouts;

    (ii) Grove Hill, outside house No. 19 or thereabouts;

    (iii) Grove Hill, outside house No. 39 or thereabouts;

    (iv) Grove Hill, outside house Nos. 55/57 or thereabouts;

    (v) Grove Hill, outside house No. 36 or thereabouts;

    (vi) Grove Hill, outside house No. 73 or thereabouts;

    (vii) Grove Hill, outside house No. 93 or thereabouts;

    (viii) Grove Hill, outside house Nos. 105/107 or thereabouts;

    (ix) Grove Hill, outside house Nos. 117/119 or thereabouts;

    (x) Grove Hill, outside house Nos. 106/108 or thereabouts;

    (xi) Grove Hill, outside house No. 126 or thereabouts;

    (xii) Cleveland Road, outside house No. 4 or thereabouts;

    (xiii) Cleveland Road, outside house No. 18 or thereabouts;

    (xiv) Cleveland Road, outside house No. 32 or thereabouts;

    (xv) Cleveland Road, outside house No. 34 or thereabouts;

    (xvi) Cleveland Road, outside house No. 54 or thereabouts;

    (xvii) Cleveland Road, outside house No. 68 or thereabouts;

    (xviii) Cleveland Road, outside house No. 60 or thereabouts;

    (xix) Cleveland Road, outside house Nos. 9-18 or thereabouts;

    (xx) Marlborough Road, outside house Nos. 6/8 or thereabouts;

    (xxi) Marlborough Road, outside house No. 22 or thereabouts;

    (xxii) Marlborough Road, outside house Nos. 42/44 or thereabouts;

    (xxiii) Marlborough Road, outside house No. 66 or thereabouts;

    (xxiv) Marlborough Road, outside house No. 47 or thereabouts.

  3. The speed humps (i) to (xxiv) would be of round top cushion design, approximately 80 millimetres at their highest point with an overall length of 3.7 metres. The speed humps would be constructed in accordance with Department for Transport regulations.
  4. A copy of the plans showing the locations of the speed humps may be inspected between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays at the Information Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NY.
  5. Any person wishing to object or make representation to the proposals should send a statement in writing of either their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Head of Highways and Transportation Strategy, Lynton House, 2nd Floor Front, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NY quoting reference 24457-METCS-010-14_01-DRG-CE-000 by no later than 18th December 2025.
