What is happening?

(Footpath 39, Heybridge)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the Order: To temporarily close Footpath 39, Heybridge in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 307 metres west of Wharf Road west to its junction with Osea Road.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 10 December 2025 to 5 April 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce for the refurbishment of Environmental Agency flood gates along the flood wall. This will be at various locations along the flood wall between Wharf Road and Osea Road.
Alternative route: Footpath 10, Footpath 11, Footpath 12, Footpath 13 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10 December 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Broad Street Green Road, Heybridge)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Broad Street Green Road, Heybridge in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 20m north west of the junction of Swifts Boulevard for a distance of approximately 70m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th January 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001464453 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on site. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via B1022, B1026, B1023, B1022 and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 20th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Park Wood Lane, Little Totham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Wood Lane, Little Totham in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 140m north west of its junction with Little Totham Road for a distance of approximately 220m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th December 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02279404063 – Premier Tree care). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while vegetation clearance works are undertaken by Premier Tree care.
An alternative route is available via Office Lane, Plains Road, The Street, School Road and vice versa (with access only into Park Wood Lane).
The Order came into effect on 20th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
