What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

(WELLGATE, GREETLAND)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works Future Network Solutions have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Wellgate from the junction of Collin Moor Lane to the side of No. 4 Wellgate for a distance of approximately 109 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. No alternative route available. Access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 1st December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 1st December 2025. The Order will be in operation between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.

(WOOD LANE, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Safer Roadworks, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Wood Lane from the junction of Doctor Hill to Richards Farm for a distance of approximately 100 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via Long Lane, Hebble Lane, Shroggs Road, Ovenden Road, Burdock Way, Pellon Lane, Pellon New Road, Moor End Road, Sandbeds Road, Doctor Hill and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 2nd December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd December 2025. The Order will be in operation between 09:00 and 15:00 during this period.

(WARLEY WOOD LANE, LUDDENDENFOOT)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Warley Wood Lane from the junction of Burnley Road to outside South Ridge for a distance of approximately 100 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Warley Wood Lane, John Naylor Lane, Burnley Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 1st December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 12th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24  hours daily during this period.

(BACK ST PETERS AVENUE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Northern Gas Networks, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Back St Peters Avenue from the junction of Bates Avenue to outside No. 2 Bates Avenue for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Back St Peters Avenue, Beechwood Crescent, St Peters Crescent, Bates Avenue and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 15th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 14th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(LOWER MILL BANK ROAD, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lower Mill Bank Road from the junction of Nathan Lane to the junction of Mill Bank Road for a distance of approximately 270 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Rochdale Road, Halifax Road, Stony Lane, Foxen Lane and the unaffected part of Lower Mill Bank Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 15th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 17th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(MIALL STREET, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Buko Traffic and Safety, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Miall Street from the junction of Battinson Road to the junction of Rushton Street for a distance of approximately 115 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via Battinson Road, Queens Road, Rushton Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 21st December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 21st December 2025. The Order will be in operation between 09:30 and 17:00 daily during this period.

(CAVENDISH STREET, HALIFAX)

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Cavendish Street from outside No. 12 Cavendish Street to outside No. 24 Cavendish Street for a distance of approximately 28 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 17th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 17th December 2025. The Order will be in operation between 08:00 and 17:00 daily during this period.

(SCAR BOTTOM LANE, GREETLAND)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Future Network Solutions, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Scar Bottom Lane from the junction of Saddleworth Lane to the junction of Brian Royd Lane for a distance of approximately 197 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route is via Saddleworth Road, Rochdale Road and Stainland Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 18th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 19th December 2025. The Order will be in operation between 08:00 and 17:00 daily during this period.
