What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.) ORDER 20**

THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

As part of a local safety scheme in the Baronsmere Road and Park Hall Road N2 area to help improve sightlines and improve road safety in the vicinity at certain junctions, the general effect of the above Orders would be to:

a) upgrade existing lengths of waiting restrictions operating 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday to operate ‘at any time’ at the junction of Ingram Road and Baronsmere Road N2.

b) upgrade existing lengths of waiting restrictions operating 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday to operate ‘at any time’ outside and at the side of No.39 Baronsmere Road and outside and at the side of No.41 Baronsmere Road N2.

c) convert part of the existing permit holder only parking bay operating 10am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday approximately 5 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Ingram Road N2 (Side of No.20 Baronsmere Road).

d) convert part of the existing permit holder only parking bay operating 10am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday approximately 10 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Ingram Road N2 (Side of No.34 Baronsmere Road).

e) convert part of the existing permit holder only parking bay operating 10am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday approximately 10.5 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Ingram Road N2 (Side of No.36 Baronsmere Road).

A copy of the proposed Order, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing highwaycorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 3rd Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number HPILP02-19 (SCR687) Baronsmere Road to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to highwaycorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
