Royston, Temporary Road Closures Due To Telegraph Pole Replacement Works

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SANDON ROAD, THERFIELD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sandon Road, Therfield from a point in line with the western boundary of No.17 Westwood south eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Sandon Road, C108 (unnamed road), Sandon Lane, A10 (Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Ermine Street), Whiteley Lane, C10 (unnamed road) and Sandon Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE WARREN, ROYSTON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Warren, Royston from its junction with A10 Barkway Street south westwards to its junction with Garden Lane, a distance of approximately 45m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via The Warren, A10 (Barkway Street/London Road) and The Warren or via The Warren and A10 (London Road/Market Hill/Priory Lane/Barkway Street).

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
