(Shortwood Hill, Mangotsfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Shortwood Hill which extends from a point 230m north west of Siston Lane south westwards for 15m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new pole installation works. The order became operative from 11 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Alternative route: Shortwood Hill (parts unaffected).

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Bank Road which extends from Pilning Street north westwards for 710m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pothole repair works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 9 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Bank Road (part unaffected), B4055, Redham Lane, Greenditch Street, Awkley Lane, Pilning Street and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Burton Road which extends from Tormarton Road southwards for 1250m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order became operative from 12 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Alternative route: B4039, A420, A46 NH, A46, B4039 and vice versa.

(Hazel Lane, Rudgeway) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Hazel Lane which extends from A38 Gloucester Road to Pump Lane. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pothole repair works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 9 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

(Dragon Road, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Dragon Road which extends from Harcombe Road south eastwards for 20m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. The order became operative from 9 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Harcombe Hill, Flaxpits Lane, Dragon Road and vice versa.

(Public Footpath OCR/10/10 and OCR/11/10, Cromhall) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon housing development construction works. The order became operative from 8 December 2025 for a maximum period of six months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 months duration. SCHEDULE Public Footpath OCR/10/10 – that length which extends from OCR/11/10 north eastwards for 200m; Public Footpath OCR/11/10 – that length which extends from OCR/10/10 south eastwards 200m. (Guest Avenue, Emersons Green) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Guest Avenue which extends from a point 10m north of Emersons Green Lane generally northwards for 40m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon delivery of substation on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 8 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration. Alternative route: Guest Avenue, Emersons Way, Church Farm Road, Homeground, Guest Avenue and vice versa.

(A4174 Avon Ring Road, Hambrook) (Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in the eastbound carriageway of the A4174 Avon Ring Road when reaching Bristol Road, from making a left turn into Bristol Road. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with safety barrier repair works. The order became operative from 8 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restriction however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 nights duration, between 8pm and 6am. Alternative route: A4174, Westerleigh Road, B4465, A46, A432, B4059, B4058.

(Foss Lane, Oldbury-On-Severn) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Foss Lane which extends from Oldbury Lane to The Naite. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon trial hole and investigation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 8 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Shrubbery Road which extends from Pendennis Road to Downend Park Road. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon gas main replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Monmouth Hill which extends from a point 700m west of Townsend westwards for 20m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with water main renovation works. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon water main renovation works. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of six months. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the entire length of Vinney Lane. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon carriageway resurfacing works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 week duration, between 7:30am and 4pm. No alternative route available.

(Wickwar Road and Sodbury Road, Wickwar) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to:- a) close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspend, temporarily, when signs are covered, the County Council of Avon (Various Roads, Wickwar, District of Northavon) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles of Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (Prohibition of Vehicles of Over 17 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) Order 1989 in so far as it relates to the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice to facilitate the diversion route. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Wellington Road which extends from Greenways Road to Cheshire Close. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with gas main upgrade works. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 weeks duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Ram Hill which extends from its junction with Serridge Lane southwards for 30m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with duct and blockage clearance works. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Footpath and Cyclepath MOD Perimeter which extends from a point 50m north of the Filton Abbey Wood Station access north eastwards for 350m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon footpath widening works. The order will be operative from 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 12 weeks duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon grounds maintenance works on or adjacent to the highway. Details of the proposed changes
NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 82(2), 83(2), 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in lengths of Trading Post Way and Nursery Way, Bitton.
