Grove Street, Smethwick / Powis Avenue & Cupfields Avenue, Tipton / Upper Church Lane, Tipton - Temporary Waiting and Loading Restrictions & Road Closures

(Grove Street, Smethwick) (Temporary No Waiting At Any Time Restrictions), (Temporary Disabled Parking Bays) and (Temporary Loading Bay) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time at the following locations on Grove Street, Smethwick:- 1) For 17.6 metres from the junction of Grove Lane (northern side of the road). 2) From the end of the loading bay (situated 61 metres from the junction of Grove Lane) on the northern side for 15 metres. 3) The gap between the disabled parking bays and the loading bay (for 3 metres – beginning at a point 44 metres from the junction of Grove Lane). The order intends to cover the temporary provision of four disabled parking bays on the northern side of Grove Street, Smethwick (each bay will be 6.6 metres in length and will begin at a point 17.6 metres from the junction of Grove Lane). The order also intends to cover the temporary provision of a loading bay on the northern side of Grove Street, Smethwick (the bay will be 14 metres in length and will begin at a point 47 metres from the junction of Grove Lane). The maximum duration is 18 months and the temporary no waiting at any time restrictions, disabled parking bays and loading bay are expected to be followed up by a Traffic Regultion Order to the same effect no later than 08/09/2026 effective from 08/12/2025. Purpose – the implementation of temporary no waiting at any time restrictions, disabled parking bays and loading bay are required in order to aid vehicular access to the new Midland Metropolitan Hospital Learning Campus. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Powis Avenue and Cupfields Avenue, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Powis Avenue, which will be closed from 08/12/2025 from the northern boundary line of property No.230 to the junction of Cupfields Avenue. A further closure will also be in place on Powis Avenue from the junction of Cupfields Avenue to the southern boundary line of property No.236. Cupfields Avenue will also be closed from west of its junction with Boundary Crescent to the eastern boundary line of property No.26. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Upper Church Lane, St Marks Road, Spring Street, Toll End Road, Bridge Road, Alexandra Road & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 19/12/2025 effective from 08/12/2025 (24hrs). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Upper Church Lane, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Upper Church Lane, which will be closed from north of its junction with Lichfield Street to the boundary line of property Nos 65 - 65a. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via High Street, Wednesbury Oak Road, Gospel Oak Road, Toll End Road, Horseley Road, Alexandra Road & vice versa.
