What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(WILLIAM STREET, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 365) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for a new water supply connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: William Street, Wakefield at the junction with Brunswick Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of William Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th December 2025 at 08.00 hours to 19th December 2025 at 20.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WOOLLEY MILL LANE, NOTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 366) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install 100 metres of telecoms ducting & cabling to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Woolley Mill Lane, Notton near Woolley Mill Cottage. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Woolley Mill Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, George Lane, Woolley Mill Lane & vice versa. Pedestrian access maintained at all times, residents access maintained when safe to do so.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th December 2025 to 16th December 2025 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours road open at all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(HILL TOP ROAD, NEWMILLERDAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 368) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to desilt the carriageway to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hill Top Road,
Newmillerdam for approximately 100 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hill Top Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Chevet Lane, Barnsley Road & vice versa. Residents access to be maintained where possible.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th December 2025 to 18th December 2025 closed 20.00 hours to 05.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
