What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING

INTENDED RAISED TABLE on BEDFORD ROAD & WITHAM ROAD. PROPOSED CYCLE LANE AMENDMENT & YELLOW LINE CHANGES on BEDFORD ROAD, West Ealing.

The Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No. 82, 2006) Traffic (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*;

The Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*.

1. NOTICE IS GIVEN The London Borough of Ealing that they have proposed the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the proposed Order would be to, on: -

(a) lengths of Bedford Road & Witham Road impose or upgrade to double yellow lines;
(b) Bedford Road the east side, extend and formalise the existing contra-flow southbound cycle lane (Bayham Road to Broadway);
(c) Bedford Road the west side, (Bayham Road to Witham Road) introduce a northbound cycle lane and cycle track.

2. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing Council, intends to install a raised table on (a) Bedford Road at its junction with Broadway, The raised tables, with a maximum plateau length of 4.0 metres, a maximum height of 100 mm and a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 15; and (b) Bedford Road & Witham Road (junctions). The raised table, with a maximum plateau length of 2.5 metres, a maximum height of 100 mm and a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 15.

3. The intention and proposal, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders including plans, are available by e-mail from 'trafficnotices@ealing. gov.uk' or by inspection at Staff Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made, or the Council decides not to make the Orders.

4. Any objections or other representations about either of the intended crossings, or the proposed Orders should be sent in writing by e-mail to 'trafficnotices@ ealing.gov.uk' or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference P070-25 until the 7 January 2026. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should include the address of the author.
