What is happening?

London Borough of Redbridge

The Redbridge (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2025

The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers, on 26 November 2025 made the above-mentioned Order, the effect of which will be:

(1) to consolidate the provisions of all existing off-street parking places orders into a new order;

(2) to modernise and update the Articles and any applicable exemptions;

(3) to include a new car park at the new Loxford Lane development (1-3 Boundary Close), IG3 9AP, operational from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday, for pay by phone users together with new electric vehicle and disabled parking bays; and

(4) to include a new car park at 120 Chigwell Road available to permit holders only at all times.

A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 28 November 2025, together with the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and plans indicating the locations and the effects may be examined at the Customer Centre, Lynton House, 255 to 259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY Monday to Friday (except on Bank Holidays).

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 or that of any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Redbridge (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2021 (Amendment No. 7) Order 2025

The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers, on 26 November 2025 made the above-mentioned Order, the effect of which will be to:

(1) Permit Parking Area [zone C] operating at all times in

(a) Bankside Road, (b) Buttsbury Road, (c) Loxford Lane, between the junctions of Fairway Gardens and Buttsbury Road,

(d) Honbeam Close, (e) Madeline Grove, (f) Medway Close,

(g) Oaktree Grove, and (h) Rowan Close.

(2) Permit Parking Area [zone C] or pay by phone (max stay 2 hours, no return within 1 hour), operating at all times in

(a) Loxford Lane, between the junctions of Buttsbury Road and Madeline Grove, and (b) Medway Close outside Willow Court.

(3) Double yellow lines (no waiting at any time restrictions)

in (a) Bankside Road, (b) Buttsbury Road, (c) Loxford Lane,

(d) Honbeam Close, (e) Madeline Grove, (f) Medway Close,

(g) Hornbeam Close, (h) Oaktree Grove, and (i) Rowan Close.
