What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (BRAMHALL MOOR LANE, HAZEL GROVE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 27 November 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on the 29 December 2025. The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time: Bramhall Moor Lane (North West Side), from a point 8 metres South West of the South Western kerb line of Penmoor Chase to a point 36 metres North East of the North Eastern kerb line of Penmoor Chase. Bramhall Moor Lane (South East Side), from the South Western kerb line of Marsham Road for a distance of 30 metres in a South Westerly direction, and from the North Eastern kerb line of Marsham Road for a distance of 65 metres in a North Easterly direction. Haven Close, both sides from the South Eastern kerb line of Bramhall Moor Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a South Easterly direction (to tie-in with the aforementioned). Marsham Road, both sides from the South Eastern kerb line of Bramhall Moor Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a South Easterly direction (to tie-in with the aforementioned). Penmoor Chase, South Western side from the North Western kerb line of Bramhall Moor Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a North Westerly direction (to tie-in with the aforementioned), and North Eastern side from the North Western kerb line of Bramhall Moor Lane for a distance of 20 metres in a North Westerly direction (to tie-in with the aforementioned). A copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
