What is happening?
WAITING RESTRICTIONS –
PORTSTEWART
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory
Rule entitled “The Waiting Restrictions (Portstewart)
(Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025” (S.R. 2025 No.
182) which comes into operation on 15 December 2025.
The Rule will extend the length of an existing no waiting at any
time restriction (loading and unloading permitted) on Strand
Road, Portstewart. Vehicles are excepted from the restriction
certain circumstances. It will also amend the definitions of
postal packet and universal service provider in The Waiting
Restrictions (Portstewart) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office
hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) by appointment
only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to traffic.

TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT
BANN ROAD, KILREA
The Department For Infrastructure for Northern Ireland, in
exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 7 (1) and (3)
of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997,
has made a provision imposing a temporary 40mph speed
limit on Bann Road, Kilrea, from 40 Bann Road to the existing
national speed limit signage, commencing on Friday 5th
December 2025 at 00:01 to Saturday 21st February 2026
at 23:59.

The Department For Infrastructure for Northern Ireland, in
exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 7 (1) and (3)
of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997,
has made a provision imposing a temporary 3.5T weight limit
on Kilrea Bridge, Bann Road, Kilrea commencing on Friday
5th December 2025 at 00:01 to Saturday 21st February 2026
at 23:59.
