What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(ALLEN ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Allen Road between properties 47-59.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on 12 December 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00.
The diversion route is: Riches Street, Newhampton Road West, Clifford Street and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the repair of a defective manhole frame and cover by Severn Trent Water.
