Old Lane (D120) Dockenfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 3 December 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Lane (D120) Dockenfield which extends from its junction with Heath Hill (D121) to its junction with High Thicket Road (D120). Alternative Route: High Thicket Road, The Street, Old Lane or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services Limited to facilitate pole installation works and/or other associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
B3001 Station Hill and B3001 South Street, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 3 December 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B3001 Station Hill, Farnham which extends from its junction with extends both arms of its junction with A31 Farnham By-Pass to its junction with X84130 Station Road; (b) prohibit vehicles from proceeding in that length of the entire width of the straight ahead-only lane of B3001 South Street, Farnham which extends from it junction with A31 Farnham By-Pass north-westwards for a distance of 22m.This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate works in relation toe the Farnham Town Centre Improvement Scheme and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. For sub-paragraph (a) above: Alternative Route 1 – X84130 Station Road, A287 Firgrove Hill, A287 Bridge Square, A287 Longbridge, A287 Downing Street, A287 The Borough, A287 South Street and B3001 South Street; Alternative Route 2 – A31 Farnham Bypass, Coxbridge roundabout, B3228 West Street, B3228 West Street, A287 The Borough, A287 South Street, A287 Union Road, A287 Longbridge, A287 Firgrove Hill and X84130 Station Road. For sub-paragraph (b) above: traffic intending to go straight across from B3001 South Street to B3001 Station Hill will need to turn left from B3001 South Street onto the A31 take the 4th exit at the Shepherd and Flock roundabout to return on the A31 and turn left onto B3001 Station Hill.
Hale Road (B3007) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hale Road (B3007) Farnham as extends from its junction with Hale Roundabout (A325) to the access for the BP petrol station. Alternative route – B3007 (Hale Road), B3228 (Guildford Road) and A325 (Farnborough Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable D.R.Groundworks Ltd to facilitate S278 resurfacing works for new development and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 January 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 7.00pm and 5.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
A247 The Borough, A3016 Upper Hale Road and D5335 Upper Church Lane, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act” (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) suspend the Order imposing a prohibition of heavy commercial vehicles exceeding 7.5 Tonnes in A3016 Upper Hale Road, Farnham, namely “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Farnham (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2021” only insofar as it relates to that length of Upper Hale Road (A3016) from its junction with Odiham Road/Folly Hill to its junction with Farnborough Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate works in relation to Farnham Town Centre Improvement Scheme which includes but is not limited to: pavement widening, utilities, loading bays, raised crossing and street furniture installation/construction works. The Order will commence on 20 December for a period of 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will completed:- (i) within 2 months, during weekdays and Saturdays during day time for part 1 of the Schedule below and (ii) within 2 weeks, during weekdays and will be carried out during night time for part 2 of the Schedule below. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, and the suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access to premises within the affected lengths of roads, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties. For part 1 of the Schedule: The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Schedule
1. that length of A287 The Borough, Farnham which extends from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Bear Street. Alternative Route – A287 Castle Street, A287 Castle Hill, A287 Folly Hill, A3016 Upper Hale Road, A325 Hale Road, then at Six Bells Roundabout, where vehicles can either: (a) follow diversion to A31 by taking 2nd exit to join A325 Farnborough Road, take 2nd exit at roundabout to continue onto A325 Farnborough Road and then take 1st exit at Shepherd & Flock Roundabout to join A31 Farnham By-Pass; or (b) return to Farnham Town Centre by taking 3rd exit to join B3007 Hale Road, continue onto B3228 East Street, continue onto B3228 Dogflud Way, then use the left lane to rejoin B3228 East Street;
2. that length of D5335 Upper Church Lane, Farnham which extends from its junction with Downing Street to a point 15m south-west of the said junction. Alternative Route – Middle Church Lane, Lower Church Lane and A287 Downing Street.
