THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS
(LANCOTS LANE, ST HELENS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2025)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 11th day of November, 2025, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle proceed in either direction along Lancots Lane between Sutton Fold and the Railway Bridge, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order came into force on Monday 17th November 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take four weeks. The alternative route will be via Sutton Road, Baxters Lane, Robins Lane and vice versa.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the installation of a new sewer connection and highway amendments.
