Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The A102 and A13 GLA Roads (East India Dock Road, Brunswick Road Off-Slip Road and St Leonard’s Road On-Slip Road, London Borough Of Tower Hamlets) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable trial hole inspection works to take place at A13 East India Dock Road.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

   (1) proceeding on the eastbound carriageway of East India Dock Road between its junctions with Brunswick Road on-slip road and Leamouth Road;

   (2) entering, exiting or proceeding on St Leonard’s Road off-slip road between its junctions with A102 Blackwall Tunnel Approach and A12 East India Dock Road;

   (3) entering the eastbound carriageway of East India Dock Road from Brunswick Road off-slip Road.

   The Order will be effective at certain times between 12:01 AM on 1st December 2025 and 11:59 PM on 27th December 2025 or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

   (1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

   (2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibition is in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs via signs via (for Brunswick Road off-slip Road closure) East India Dock Road, Cotton Street, Prestons Road Roundabout, Prestons Road, Aspen Way, Leamouth Roundabout and Leamouth Road to normal route of travel; (for St Leonard’s Road off-slip road closure) A102/A12 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach, unnamed off-slip road, Bow Roundabout, unnamed on-slip road, A12 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach and Brunswick Road off-slip Road to normal route of travel.
