THE ST ALBANS CITY AND DISTRICT COUNCIL (CONTROL OF PARKING) ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT No.) STOPPING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ORDER 202*

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that St Albans City and District Council (pursuant to arrangements made with Hertfordshire County Council) proposes to make The St Albans City and District Council (Control of Parking) Order 2023 (Amendment No.**) Waiting Restrictions Order 2025.

  2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce waiting restrictions, as specified in the schedule below:

    SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time - those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and on-street plans:

    London Colney – Morris Way

  3. A copy of the Order and associated documents may be examined at the Civic Centre, St Peters Street, St Albans, AL1 3JE Monday to Friday or you can view the documents on our website at any time at www.stalbans.gov.uk/live-consultations

    and selecting “Morris Way”.

  4. Persons wishing to object or make comments to these proposals must do so:

    (a) By visiting www.stalbans.gov.uk/live-consultations please select “Morris Way” and “Comment on this proposal” where you can add your comments, view or upload supporting documents.

    (b) By making representations in writing to: The Parking Development Team – St Albans City and District Council, Civic Centre, St Albans, AL1 3JE; or,

    (c) By email to: parking.consultations@stalbans.gov.uk quoting map reference “Morris Way” by 18th December 2025.

    Please only use one of the above-mentioned methods of commenting, duplicate or multiple submissions will be disregarded.

    Please quote reference ‘Morris Way’ in the subject line and include your address in all correspondence. All comments must be received no later than 18th December 2025.

**THE ST ALBANS CITY AND DISTRICT COUNCIL (CONTROL OF PARKING) (AMENDMENT No. ) ORDER 202

[Note: this Notice is about proposals to create a new controlled parking zone and permit holder parking area (zone HA) in the Hillside Road area operating Monday to Sunday between 8:30am and 10pm. Objections and other comments may be made – see paragraph 4.]

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that St Albans City and District Council (pursuant to arrangement made with Hertfordshire County Council) proposes to make the St. Albans City and District Council (Control of Parking) (Amendment No. *) Order 202 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

  1. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce:

    (1) A controlled parking zone (zone HA) operating Monday to Sunday between 8:30am and 10pm in (a) Avenue Road, (b) Hillside Road, (c) Lemsford Road, (d) Manor Road, (e) St. Peter’s Road, and (f) Townsend Avenue.

    (2) A permit parking area (zone HA) operating Monday to Sunday between 8:30am and 10pm and double yellow line junction protection in (a) Althorp Road and (b) Raymer Close.

  2. Amendments to:

    (1) the operational hours of existing single yellow lines to operate Monday to Sunday between 8:30am and 10pm.

    (2) properties in St. Peter’s Road currently in zone H will move to the proposed zone HA [properties 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 17, 19, Flats 1 and 2 No. 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, 33a, and (1, 2, and 3 The Old Substation)].

    (3) Nos. 13a and 15 St. Peter’s Street to have the option to choose a permit for either the existing H zone or proposed HA zone.

    (4) Removal of the advisory disabled bay outside No. 39 Lemsford Road.

    (5) Removal of the doctors parking place in Townsend Avenue adjacent to the STAH hub.

  3. The charges will be:
