Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
A49 Wilderspool Cswy & A5060 Chester Rd Roundabout Jct.
(Prohibition of Driving & Clearway)
Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: A49 Wilderspool Cswy from its jct. with Knutsford Rd to its jct. with Fletcher St; A5060 Chester Rd from its jct. with A49 Wilderspool Cswy to its jct. with Adamson St; Park Blvd from its jct. with A49 Wilderspool Cswy for 50m; River Rd from its jct. with A49 Wilderspool Cswy for 50m; Chester Rd from its jct. with A49 Wilderspool Cswy for 25m; Dunlop St from its jct. with A5060 Chester Rd to its jct. with Hillberry Cres.
The Order will be effective from 12th January 2026 for 6 weeks, between 7pm & 1am. The alternative route will be via A56 Walton Rd, A56 Walton New Rd, A5060 Chester Rd, Slutchers Ln, A5061 Wilson Patten St, A5061 Parker St, A5061 Liverpool Rd, A5061 Sankey Way, A5061 Pink Eye Roundabout, A5061 Sankey Way, A5061 Liverpool Rd, A5061 Parker St, A5061 Wilson Patten St, A5061 Bridgefoot or via A5061 Bridgefoot, A5061 Wilson Patten St, Slutchers Ln, A5060 Chester Rd, A56 Walton New Rd, A56 Walton Rd.
The closure is required for carriageway resurfacing.

Temporary Suspension of existing Order: The Borough of Warrington (Various Roads) (Consolidation of One-Way Traffic) Order 1976 in so far as it relates to the Second Schedule as follows: Cherry Ln, Lymm (B5158) – From Booths Hill Rd (A56) to Elm Tree Rd.
The Order will be effective from 5th January 2026 for 4 weeks. The alternative route will be via Church Rd, Booths Hill Rd, Camsley Ln, Stockport Rd, Knutsford Rd, Cliff Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow Scottish Power to install a new High Voltage Cable.

The Order will be effective from 5th January 2026 for 9 weeks, with the works being carried out in phases.
The alternative routes will be: Woodland Ave via Higher Ln, Oughtrington Ln, Longbutt Ln & vice versa; Lymm Footpath 30 via Longbutt Ln, Oughtrington Ln & vice versa.
The restrictions are required to allow Scottish Power to install a new High Voltage Cable.

The closure is required to allow for drainage survey works to be carried out.

The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to install a new HV cable.
