D42/5 Mellerstain Mill / B6400 Clerklands to Lilliesleaf - Temporary Road Closures
What is happening?
(D42/5 MELLERSTAIN MILL)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (D42/5 Mellerstain Mill) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 2 December 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 16 December 2025. The Order is required for carriageway reconstruction works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D42/5 Mellerstain Mill.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the D42/5, B6397, C91, A6089 and D42/5 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(B6400 CLERKLANDS TO LILLIESLEAF)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (B6400 Clerklands to Lilliesleaf) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 2 December 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of three days between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30. The Order is required for patching works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6400 from Clerklands to Lilliesleaf.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B6400, A7, A699, B6453, B6359 and B6400 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
