ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U15 SCREMERSTON MAIN ROAD TO COCKLEY BURN CULVERT

BERWICK-UPON-TWEED

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U15 Scremerston Main Road to Cockley Burn Culvert Berwick-upon-Tweed from its point with the front of The Old Railway Station heading in a westerly direction for a distance of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 14th December 2025 until the 15th December 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 14th December 2025 until the 15th December 2025 between 23:00 hours and 05:00 hours.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Chevron Traffic Management to lift out the level crossing to allow PL tamper to work through the area. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

B1341 ADDERSTONE HALL TO LUCKER ROAD BELFORD

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B1341 Adderstone Hall to Lucker Road Belford from its junction with U2016 Road to Hoppenhall Farm heading in a south westerly direction for a distance of 450 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 17th December 2025 until the 5th January 2026. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 17th December 2025 until the 18th December 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 5th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B1341, A1, B1342 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Dutton Traffic Management Services for overhead pole maintenance. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C47 DISTRICT BOUNDARY TO NORTH CHARLTON

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C47 District Boundary To North Charlton from its junction with the A1 heading in a westerly direction for a length of 50 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 8th December 2025 until the 15th December 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th December 2025 until the 9th December 2025 between the hours of 20:00 until 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 15th December 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A1, C47 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by National Highways to carry out sign installations and repairs on the central island of the junction. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16 A

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 19th November 2025 the Northumberland County Council (Berwick Christmas Market 2025) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”).

The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Berwick Christmas Market 2025 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the C424 Marygate from it’s junction with the U107 heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 125 metres (“the Road”).

The TTRO shall come into force at 11:00 hours on the 7th December 2025 and will remain in force until 16:00 hours on the 7th December 2025, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Church Street, Chapel Street, Walkergate and vice versa in Berwik Upon Tweed and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

a.  Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;

b.  Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.

c.  Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;

d.  Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or

e.  Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
