Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS) (BOROUGH OF MAIDSTONE)
(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER
(AMENDMENT No.3) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-
The effect of the Order would be to prohibit all vehicles over 7.5T except for access on the following length of roads in Kingswood, Maidstone:-
ASHFORD DRIVE, BELL WAY, BUSHEY GROVE, CAYSER DRIVE, CHARLESFORD AVENUE, CHESTNUT DRIVE, ELDER CLOSE, HEATHERWOOD CLOSE, HOLLY TREE CLOSE, IVY CLOSE, LAUREL GROVE, THORNEY CROFT CLOSE, TALL TREES CLOSE, THE WALDENS and WILDWOOD CLOSE – For their entire length. WHITEHALL DRIVE – From its junction with Chestnut Drive to its junction with Charlesford Avenue. DUCK POND LANE - Remove the TRO weight limit for its entire length.
This order was originally advertised as Amendment 7 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-numbered as above.
The Order was made on 11 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 12 December 2025.

(AMENDMENT No.19) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-
The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-
BEVERLEY ROAD – DYL – (1) On the east side of its junction with Heath Road for a distance of 12.5 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the west side of its junction with Heath Road for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction. HEATH ROAD – DYL – On both sides to a point 10 metres west and to a point 10 metres east of its junction with Beverley Road. HALFPENNY CLOSE – DYL – (1) On the east side of its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the west side of its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 13.5 metres in a northerly direction. TONBRIDGE ROAD – DYL – (1) On the east side from its junction with Halfpenny Close for a distance of 76.5 metres in a north easterly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Halfpenny Close for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction.
The Order was made on 11 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 12 December 2025.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.10) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘), the Traffic Management 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following Order:-
The effect of the named Order will introduce waiting restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) at any time on the following length of roads in Ramsgate, Thanet:-
DUMPTON PARK DRIVE - DYL – On the west side join up the existing double yellow lines between its junctions with Harebrook and Muir Road.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act, hereby make the following Order:
The effect of the named Order will introduce Double Yellow Lines waiting restrictions (in this part of the notice DYL means double yellow lines) – no waiting at any time on the following length of roads in Woulham, Tonbridge & Malling:-
STEPHENSON LANE – DYL – (1) On the south side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 13.5 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the north side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 11.5 metres in a westerly direction. KEEPERS COTTAGE LANE – DYL – (1) On the north side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the south side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 14 metres in a westerly direction. WORRALL DRIVE – DYL – (1) On both sides of its junction with Stephenson Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and for a distance of 24 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On both sides of its junction with Keepers Cottage Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
The Order was made on 11 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 12 December 2025.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act, hereby make the following Order:
The effect of the named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions (in this part of the notice DYL means double yellow lines) – No waiting at any time on the following length of roads in Hadlow, Tonbridge & Malling.
HIGH STREET – DYL – (1) On the south east side outside 1/2 The Broadway replace the 11 meters of single yellow line with DYLs.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce (DYLs) double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Frittenden,Tunbridge Wells:-
BIDDENDEN ROAD – DYL – On the north side from its junction with Headcorn Road for a distance of 7 metres in a easterly direction. HEADCORN ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north west side from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of 10 metres in northerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Biddeneden Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. MILL LANE – DYL – (1) On the northwestern side from its junction with Headcorn Road for a distance of 20 meters in a north westerly direction. (2) On the south western side from its junction with The Street for a distance of 23 metres in a north westerly direction. THE STREET – DYL - (1) On the west side from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the south east side from its junction with Biddenden Road for a distance of 29 metres in a southerly direction.
