What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER
On 27 November, Angus Council made The Angus Council (B9113 Westerton Crossroads)(Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025 under Section 14 of the [Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 so that carriageway resurfacing works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 01 December 2025 from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of eight days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on (1) Central Road (C44); (a) from its junction with B9113 Forfar - Montrose in a northerly direction for a distance of 80m or thereby, and (b) from its junction with B9113 Forfar - Montrose in a southerly direction for a distance of 80m or thereby. The alternative route for northbound vehicular traffic is via Forfar – Arbroath (A932), Forfar - Aberlemno – Brechin (B9134) and Central Road (C44). The reverse route applies and (2)
Forfar – Montrose (B9113); (a) from its junction with Central Road (C44): in an easterly direction for a distance of 80m or thereby, and (b) from its junction with Central Road (C44) in a westerly direction for a
distance of 80m or thereby. The alternative route for westbound vehicular traffic is via Forfar – Arbroath (A932) and Arbroath – Brechin (A933). The reverse route applies.
