GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ON STREET PARKING ORDER 2017 (VARIOUS ROADS AROUND VARIOUS SCHOOLS WITHIN THE CITY OF GLOUCESTER, PARISH OF CAM & TOWN OF CIRENCESTER) (GLOUCESTER DISTRICT, STROUD DISTRICT & COTSWOLD DISTRICT) (VARIATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 of Part I and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the restrictions detailed in The Schedule below on various roads outside Longlevens Junior School, Widden Primary School, Cam Woodfield Junior School and Stratton Primary School, Gloucestershire.

The 2017 Order will be varied by the attachment of plans similar to those used in this consultation and which identify the roads or sides of road to which the prohibitions and restrictions affect.

This Variation shall come into operation on 27th November 2025.

The lengths of roads fall within the City of Gloucester, Parish of Cam and Town of Cirencester, within the Gloucester District, Stroud District & Cotswold District in the County of Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles.

A copy of the Variation Order, the plans to be revoked, the new Sealed Plans to be inserted into the Schedule of Plans together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons and 2017 Order may be viewed at The Map Room, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG, Cirencester Bingham Library, The Waterloo, Cirencester GL7 2PZ and Dursley Library, May Lane, Dursley GL11 4JH during their normal opening hours or online at http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/tros. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Variation or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement to that Act or any Statutory Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Variation may within six weeks of the date on which the Variation is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C228 TYNDALE ROAD (SLIMBRIDGE PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C228 Tyndale Road from outside the property known as ‘Old Gossington Chapel’ to its junction with A38 Northbound for a distance of approximately 130 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 16th December 2025 until 17:00hrs on 18th December 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

PUBLIC NOTICE

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(50 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (A4135) (VARIOUS PARISHES) (STROUD DISTRICT & COTSWOLD DISTRICT) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above-named order the effect of which will be:

1. To introduce the 50mph speed limit in the schedule below; and

2. To revoke the existing 50mph speed limit Traffic Order on the A4135 at Kingscote and reintroduce it within this Traffic Order to consolidate the speed limits on the A4135 into one Traffic Order. No changes to the existing signed 50mph speed limit are proposed as part of this Traffic Order process.

Road Name & Number Description
A4135 (known in part as Whiteway Hill & in part as A4135 Whiteway Hill to Kingscote Park & in part as A4135 Kingscote Park to Calcot Crossroads). From a point approximately 111m south-east of the centreline of its junction with Byron Road (43566) to a point approximately 53m south-east of the centreline of its junction with the C262 (known as 2/262 B4058 to A46 Lasborough).

The lengths of roads fall within the Town of Dursley and the Parishes of North Nibley, Uley, Wotton-Under-Edge and Owlpen in the Stroud District and the Parish of Kingscote within the Cotswold District, all within the County of Gloucestershire.

The Order shall come into effect on 5th December 2025.

A copy of the Sealed Order and Orders to be revoked together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons may be viewed at The Map Room, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Dursley Library, May Lane, Dursley, GL11 4JH during their normal opening hours or online at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/tros for a period of 6 weeks from the date of this notice.
