Gloucestershire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4035 CHURCH STREET (CHIPPING CAMPDEN PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4035 Church Street Road from its junction with Calf Lane to outside ‘St James Church’ for a distance of approximately 112 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works to repair a retaining wall.

The said road is expected to be closed from 1st December 2025 until 12th December 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH HRL 6 (LITTLE RISSINGTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of the path through the sewage works near Public Footpath HRL 6 from a point 200 metres south from its junction with Public Footpath HRL 5 in a generally southeasterly direction for approximately 18 metres.

The said public footpath falls within Little Rissington in Cotswold District, within the County of Gloucestershire.

The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst sewage works are undertaken.

This closure Order came into force on the 2nd June 2025 and was expected to end on the 2nd December 2025. However, the works have still not been completed, and the Secretary of State has granted an extension until the 2nd June 2027 or until the works are complete, whichever is earliest.

Alternative Route – as indicated on the Map by a dash black line. Emergency access and pedestrian access to adjoining properties will be maintained.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C132 STOW ROAD ODDINGTON TO CHAPEL STREET (BROADWELL PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C132 Stow Road Oddington to Chapel Street from outside the Sewerage Works to its junction with Broadwell Footpath 8 for a distance of approximately 804 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works by National Grid.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF 400731 MAIN ROAD THROUGH NAUNTON (NAUNTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 400731 Road through Naunton from outside the property known as ‘Barnhill’ to outside the property known as ‘The Pound’ for a distance of approximately 46 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for new water connection works.

The said road is expected to be closed and restricted from 15th December 2025 until 17th December 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

There will be no stopping, waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF 400647 SHERBORNE STREET (BOURTON ON THE WATER PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 400647 Sherborne Street Road from its junction with Bow Lane to outside the property known as ‘Springfield House’ for a distance of approximately 22 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for remedial works to a sewer cover within the carriageway.

The said road is expected to be closed and restricted between 07:00hrs and 16:00hrs on 19th December 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

There will be no stopping, waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400675 THE WHITE HOUSE TO BROADMOOR FARM (CLAPTON ON THE HILL PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400675 The White House to Broadmoor Farm road from outside the property known as ‘Newbridge Farm’ to outside of the property known as ‘Upper Farm’ for a distance of approximately 72 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Thames Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 17th December 2025 to 19th December 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
