THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (HOLMER, HEREFORDSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A49 Trunk Road, at Holmer, in the County of Herefordshire, to enable drainage installation work to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A49 between its roundabout junction with the A4103 and its junction with Church Road, at Holmer.
The work will be carried out in phases. The closures are expected to be in operation between 22:00 hours on Saturday 13 December 2025 and 06:00 hours on Sunday 14 December 2025 and between 22:00 hours on Saturday 3 January 2026 and 06:00 hours on Sunday 4 January 2026. The Order will come into force on 12 December 2025.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure.
The diversion route for through traffic via the A4103, A465 and A417 and vice versa will be signed. Local diversion routes will also be in operation.
