What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (WEATHERLY DRIVE AND STOCKPORT ROAD, MARPLE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 27 November 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on 30 December 2025. The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting At Any Time: Weatherley Drive, Marple (both sides), from the northern kerb line of Stockport Road for a distance of 11 metres in a northerly direction, and Stockport Road, Marple (north side), from a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Weatherley Drive to a point 10 metres west of the western kerb line of Weatherley Drive. A copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
