Bury - Temporary Road Closures due to Electricity and Sewer Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY
(BACK ROCHDALE ROAD, BURY)
TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along: -
Back Rochdale Road, Bury – between Fletcher Street & York Street
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate Electricity Northwest works
The alternate route will be via York Street & Fletcher Street
The proposed Order will come into operation on 15/12/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 5 days.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along: -
Wolsey Street, Radcliffe – between Lord Street & Chard Street
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate Electricity Northwest works
The alternate route will be via Abden Street, Blackburn Street, Lord Street & Coomasie Street
The Order comes into operation on 02/12/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 2 weeks.

(CENTRAL STREET, RAMSBOTTOM)
TEMPORARY CLOSURE & REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY WORKING NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along: -
Central Street, Ramsbottom – between Markland Street & Rothwell Street
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate sewer works
The alternate route will be via Callendar Street, Carr Street & Bolton Street
Central Street, Ramsbottom (One-Way Working) will be temporarily revoked between Callendar Street & Markland Street to facilitate these diversions.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 15/12/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 7 days.
