PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CORN HILL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Corn Hill in both directions at the Railway Bridge/Junction of Bailey Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 11th December 2025 until 13th December 2025, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00.
The diversion route is: Horseley Fields, Middle Cross, Bilston Street Island, Ring Road, Wednesfield Road, Sun Street or Sun Street, Wednesfield Road, Ring Road, Horseley Fields.
The Order is required to facilitate a structural examination of the bridge by Network Rail.
