U2170 Little Broughton - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2170, LITTLE BROUGHTON)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U2170, (access track leading to the property known as Glen Cottage), Little Broughton, from a point approx. 100m north of its junction with the U2170, Main Street, extending in an overall northerly direction for approx. 40m.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 3 December 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
