The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted at various times from 5th January 2026, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restriction in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 31st March 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.

There will be no waiting, stopping or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400016 UNDERHILL
(HEWELSFIELD & BROCKWEIR PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400016 Underhill from its junction with Mill Hill junction to outside the property known as ‘Brynheulog’ for a distance of approximately 160 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for installation of new BT apparatus.

The said road is expected to be closed from 5th January 2026 until 16th January 2026 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
