What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
Bull Lane, Newington, ME9 7ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025
To allow underground structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bull Lane, Newington from 10th December 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Playstool Road and Wormdale Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Playstool Road, A2 London Road, Hartlip, Hill, Lower Hartlip Road, Old House Lane, Bull Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dully Road, Tonge, ME9 9PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Dully Road, Tonge from 9th December 2025 with estimated completion by 10th December 2025, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Wood Street and Upper Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road, The Street, Panteny Lane, Church Street, Kingsdown Road, Dully Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
West Street, Faversham, ME13 7JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025
To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of West Street, Faversham from 12th December 2025 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Caslocke Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2040 South Road, Napleton Road, Tanners Street and West Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
