Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
Beresfords Hill, Boughton Monchelsea, ME17 4LZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beresfords Hill, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Bottlescrew Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Atkins Hill, Bottlescrew Hill and vice versa.
Bletchenden Road, Headcorn, TN27 9JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bletchenden Road, Headcorn, on or after 9th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Coldharbour Lane and Waterman Quarters. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coldharbour Lane, Ayleswade Lane, A274 Biddenden Road From Hall Barn Farm To Tile Barn Farm, A274 Biddenden Road, Bletchenden Road and vice versa.
Caring Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow underground cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Caring Lane, Bearsted, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from in the vicinity of property number 1 to Wild Acres. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Caring Lane, Caring Road, Otham Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Caring Lane and vice versa.
Chart Hill Road, Chart Sutton (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Hill Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Luck Lane to the road entrance to Chart Hill Lakes. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Hill Road, Warmlake Road, Chart Corner, B2163 Plough Wents Road, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, Chart Hill Road and vice versa.
Church Road, Boughton Malherbe, ME17 2AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Boughton Malherbe, on or after 10th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside the Kings Head Public House, for a distance approximately 620 metres in a North direction, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, Woodcock Lane, Coldbridge Lane, Egerton House Road, Coach Road, Sandway and vice versa.
Eyhorne Street, Hollingbourne, ME17 1UB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow railway bridge maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eyhorne Street, Hollingbourne, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Eyhorne Street, Upper Street, Hollingbourne Hill, Court Danes Shaw, Swanton Street, The Street, Primrose Lane, Bredgar Road, Hearts Delight Road, Wrens Road, Sutton Baron Road, Pond Farm Road, Oad Street, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Detling Interchange, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Newnham Court Roundabout, Bearsted Road, New Cut Road, A20 Ashford Road, Eyhorne Street and vice versa.
Green Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, ME17 4LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Tudor Cottage and Lewis Court. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Lane, Brishing Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Church Street, Green Lane and vice versa.
Heath Road, Langley, ME17 3JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heath Road, Langley, on or after 11th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Horseshoes Lane, for a distance approximately 240 metres in a Southeast direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heath Road, Horseshoes Lane, A274 Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, B2163 Leeds Road, Heath Road and vice versa.
Hunton Road, Marden, TN12 9SG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hunton Road, Marden, on or after 10th December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from opposite Gatehouse, for a distance approximately 150 metres in a North direction to opposite number 1 Gatehouse Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Lane, Underlyn Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, Redwall Lane, East Street, Hunton Road and vice versa.
Sandling Lane, Penenden Heath, ME14 2EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & BUS LANE CLOSURE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandling Lane, Penenden Heath, on or after 12th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with The Hedges, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandling Lane, The Hedges and vice versa.
Spenny Lane, Collier Street (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spenny Lane, Collier Street, on or after 10th December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Spenny Farm, for a distance approximately 85 metres in a Northwest direction to outside Spindleberries. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kings Lane, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate, Spenny Lane and vice versa.
Water Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Bearsted, on or after 9th December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the side of The Bluff, for a distance approximately 70 metres in a Northeast direction to opposite Elvenbrook. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, Pilgrims Way, Thurnham Lane, Ware Street, The Green, The Street and vice versa.
