Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

Stone Street, Lympne, CT21 4EW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Street, Lympne, on or after 9th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Roaslind, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stone Street, A20 Ashford Road, B2067 Otterpool Lane, Aldington Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

(Consolidation) Order 2025 (amendment 13) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL intend to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The Order will revise parking and waiting restrictions in the following road in Folkestone:

• The Bayle

The proposal seeks to amend the current permit holders only parking operating times; 8am – 6pm to 8am and 8pm,

The Order will also revoke the No Waiting 8am – 6pm restriction adjacent the current school keep clear markings.

Full details are contained in the draft Order which, together with the relevant drawings, a copy of any orders which will be amended by the proposed Order, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at The Council Offices notice board, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, or by email traffic.orders@folkestone-hythe.gov.uk or on our website https://www.folkestone-hythe.gov.uk/parking

Your objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. For your objection or comments to be considered they must reach us by 5pm on Friday 2nd January 2026.
