Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
Chalkpit Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chalkpit Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 10th December 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hammill Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Street, Walmer, CT14 7QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Walmer, on or after 10th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Walmer Court Lodge to the junction of A258 Dover Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 Dover Road, Station Road, Court Road, Church Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Coombe Lane, Ash, CT3 2BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coombe Lane, Ash, on or after 11th December 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Mount Ephraim Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coombe Lane, Moat Lane, The Street, New Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Coxhill, Shepherdswell, CT15 7NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coxhill, Shepherdswell, on or after 9th December 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Coxhill Farm to the junction of A2 Dover Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 Dover Road, Lydden Hill, A2 Dover Road, Coxhill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Geddinge Lane, Wootton (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Geddinge Lane, Wootton, on or after 10th December 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of A2 Dover Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Westbound Off, A260 Old Dover Road, A260 Box Iron Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound On, A2 Dover Road and Geddinge Lane.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A2 Dover Road, Lydden Hill, A2 Dover Road and Geddinge Lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lydden Hill, Denton, CT15 7JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lydden Hill, Denton, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed Southbound only at the junction of A2 Dover Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lydden Hill, Canterbury Road, London Road, A256 Whitfield Hill and A2 Dover Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Richborough Road, Richborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Richborough Road, Richborough, on or after 14th December 2025 for up to 12 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Richborough Road, Cooper Street Drove, A257 Ash Bypass, Ash Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, CT14 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, on or after 9th December 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Manor Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Willow Woods Road, Deal Road, Northbourne Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, Boys Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
