Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

Temporary Road Closure Order And Temporary One Way Suspension Order On Phoenix Street And Stuart Street, Temporary One Way Bus Lane Closure Order On Phoenix Street, Temporary Parking Bays Suspension Order On Derwent Street, Phoenix Street, Stuart Street, Exeter Place, Temporary Footway Closure Order On Derwent Street, Derby

When: 15 December 2025 to 18 December 2026 
Where: Suspension of One Way on Phoenix Street, from its junction with Derwent Street to its junction with Stuart Street. Suspension of One Way on Stuart Street, from its junction with Derwent Street to its junction with Phoenix Street. Phoenix Street and Stuart Street to be closed as and when required. One way Bus Lane closure on Phoenix Street, from its junction with Stuart Street to its junction with Mansfield Road. Close Derwent Street footway, from its junction with Stuart Street to its junction with Phoenix Street. Suspend parking bays and replace with “No Waiting At Any Time” enforceable restrictions on Derwent Street, from its junction with Phoenix Street to its junction with Stuart Street and from its junction with Exeter Street to its junction with Exeter Place. Suspend all parking bays and replace with “No Waiting At Any Time” enforceable restrictions on Phoenix Street, Stuart Street and Exeter Place. 
Reason: To enable Flood Defence works 
Alternative Route: Stuart Street Diversion – Access to Riverside Court will be maintained via Phoenix Street

Temporary Road Closure Order On Drewry Lane, Derby

When: 15 December 2025 to19 December 2025 
Where: Drewry lane, from its junction with Dunkirk to its junction with Talbot Street, a distance of approximately 50 metres. 
Reason: New Sewer Connection 
Alternative Route: Drewry Lane – Ward Street – Lynton Street – Bakewell Street – King Alfred Street – Monk Street and Dunkirk – Wolfa Street – Bakewell Street – Drewry Lane

Temporary Parking Bays Suspension Order And Temporary Footway Closure Order On Great Northern Road, Derby

When: 15 December 2025 to 31 January 2026 
Where: Great Northern Road, Closure of Footway and suspension of parking bays adjacent to Engine House, for a distance of approximately 30 metres. 
Reason: Provide pedestrians walkway and safe use of Scaffolding for Construction works. 
Alternative Route: Access to be maintained
