What is happening?

GRAVESHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025

The Gravesham Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Section 32, 33, 34, 35, 39(3) and 124 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and with the consent of the Kent County Council given under section 39 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, hereby intends to make the Order as described above.

This Order revokes and consolidates the following orders:

Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment & Consolidation) Order 2015

Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order (Variation No 1) 2015

Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order (Variation No 2) 2017

Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order (Variation No 3) 2019

Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order (Variation No 4) 2020

Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order (Variation No 5) 2024

Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order (Variation No 6) 2025

Copies of the draft Order, the statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be viewed in person, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm at Gravesham Borough Council, Civic Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend, DA12 1AU or on our website www.gravesham.gov.uk/parking-consultations

Representations supporting or objecting to the proposed Order can be made by writing to the Parking Services Manager, Gravesham Borough Council, Parking Services Department, Civic Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend, DA12 1AU or by email to parking.consultation@gravesham.gov.uk; by noon on Wednesday 31 December 2025.
