Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, FOLKESTONE & HYTHE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER
(AMENDMENT No.3) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place double yellow lines (DYL) waiting restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Folkestone, Folkestone and Hythe:-

CHERITON ROAD – (1) On the south side place 1 hour limited parking with no return for 2 hours 8am to 6pm Mon-Fri from a point opposite the eastern entrance to The Harvey Grammer School for a distance of 103 metres in an easterly direction. (2) On the north side remove the school keep clears and replace a new crossing point and relocate the bus clearway to the east of the school entrance. (3) On the south side place a new crossing point across the entrance to The Havery Grammer School. (4) On the south side place DYL from a point 14 meters east of the junction with Beachborough Road for a distance of 80 metres in an easterly direction.

The Order was made on 4 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 8 December 2025.

(AMENDMENT No.12) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place single yellow lines (SYL) and double yellow lines (DYL) waiting restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Dymchurch and Hythe, Folkestone and Hythe:-

DYMCHURCH ROAD – SYL – (1) On the south east side from a point opposite its western junction with Martello Drive place SYL Mon-Sat 8am-6pm for a distance of 37.5 metres in a southwesterly direction. (2) On the north side from a point 12 metres west of its junction with Penny Pot Industrial Estate entrance place SYL Mon-Sat 8am-6pm for a distance of 9 metres in a westerly direction. TWISS ROAD – DYL – (1) On the west side join up the existing double yellow lines from its junction with Twiss Avenue for a distance of 61 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On its east side from a point 9.5 metres south of its junction with the canal tow path extend the existing lines for a distance of 47.5 metres in a southerly direction.

MAIDSTONE AREA

(AMENDMENT No.3)
ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to extend the 20MPH speed limit zone in Bredhurst, Maidstone on the following length of roads:-

CHAPEL LANE, FIR TREE GROVE and HURSTWOOD ROAD – For their entire length.

This order was originally advertised as Amendment 16 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-numbered as above.

The Order was made on 4 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 5 December 2025.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of road in Barming, Maidstone:-

SOUTH STREET - DYL – (1) On the east side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 44 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 43 metres in a southerly direction. TONBRIDGE ROAD – DYL – On the south side between points 7 metres west and 14 metres east of its junction with South Street.

The Order was made on 4 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 5 December 2025.

(AMENDMENT No.11) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to replace current restrictions with single yellow lines (SYL) with restrictions of No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm or Double Yellow Lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-

HUNSTMAN LANE- SYL- (1) On the west side 20 metres from its junction with Ashford Road for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the south side 84 metres from its junction with Ashford Road for a distance of 28 metres in a westerly direction. HILDENBOROUGH CRESCENT – DYL – On both sides of the road to the entrance to Allington Primary School from a point 15 metres south for a distance of 24 metres in a northerly then easterly and westerly directions.

The Order was made on 4 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 5 December 2025.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce (DYLs) double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Tunbridge Wells:-

A26 LONDON ROAD – DYL - On the west side remove the single yellow lines outside 1-16 London Road and for a distance of 65 metres in a northerly direction and replace with DYLs.

This Order will also make administrative amendments which do not change or have any effect on the existing restrictions.

The Order was made on 4 December 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 5 December 2025.
